Elliot Conway
Founder & Managing Partner
Elliot brings more than two decades of diverse experience and expertise to Alderway.
For the past 12 years, he honed his skills within a prestigious multi-generational, multi-billion dollar family office, where he spearheaded the development of a direct investment division. Crafting a robust structure, strategic vision, and assembling a talented, high-performing team, Elliot built a portfolio grounded in a distinctive and compelling investment thesis.

He enjoyed extensive board-level responsibility across many sectors, stages and geographies and fostered deep and long-standing relationships with top-tier founders, investors, intermediaries, and operators around the world, with especially strong ties in the US, UK, Europe, and Israel.
20+ Years'
Experience at the highest level spanning both the public and private sectors.
Elliot was trained by Deloitte, educated at Cambridge and worked in Parliament to help reshape how anti-racism policy and legislation is managed.
Elliot is excited to Empower more Exceptional Entrepreneurs with Alderway.
Elliot was privileged to be able to invest in many extraordinary entrepreneurs building their life’s work not only in Backbone Sectors, but also from the worlds of beloved consumer brands and pure tech companies too.
Businesses like Tracksmith, Love Corn, Unmind, East Fork, Windmill, Housekeep, Stedi, Small Door, Gideon, Zencargo, Acme, and of course, Vanarama!
From this deep exposure to such a wide variety of companies and markets, it became increasingly clear to him that there were far more similarities than differences among these high performing teams.
They prioritised their people, were utterly focused on their specific and unique mission, obsessed over their customers, and demonstrated exemplary financial stewardship. All qualities that Alderway is now looking to find and fund.

Before his tenure at Pentland, Elliot dedicated seven years to public service in Westminster. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders including UK Secretaries of State, Ministers, Parliamentarians, and officials, he played a pivotal role in reshaping anti-racism policy and legislation within Parliament and Government.

After its success, he was tasked with exporting the model to the European Parliament, the US, Canada, Germany, and France.

Trained by Deloitte and educated at Cambridge University, Elliot is very proud to have co-founded Alderway and looks forward to joining more exceptional entrepreneurs on their mission to achieve their life’s work.
