Emily has 17 years’ experience across Venture Capital, Mergers & Acquisitions, Investment Banking and Corporate Strategy.

She started her career in Investment Banking, at Morgan Stanley and HSBC, covering the Retail and Luxury Goods sectors, before moving into industry, where she joined Tesco as part of their Commercial Strategy team.

Emily then brought her combined experience to Pentland Ventures, the direct investing arm of Pentland Group, and pursued early-stage investments in Consumer Brands and Tech businesses in the UK, Europe and US. She held board director positions at Form Nutrition and Ugly Drinks, and board observer positions at Acme Facilities Group and Heidi Klein.

Following this, she joined Holland & Barrett as Director of their inaugural M&A and Corporate Venture Capital team, leading the end-to-end process of thesis and strategy building, deal origination, deal execution, and portfolio management. Here, she executed several acquisitions in the health-tech space and managed a portfolio of early-stage venture investments.
